Mr. Kitty was proud and insisted that I go outside to "see". He has a way of telling us when we need to follow him. It usually means one of three things. "I'm out of food", "Clean my litter box", or "I caught something for you!" This time it was the latter of the three.

Mr. Kitty doesn't have a sense of justice, he catches what he can. Whether it's fair or not, he hunts, that's what cats naturally do. This cat happens to be good at it. I wish that he would only catch the rodents and pests that we do not want around the home, but he is not wired that way. He just exterminates.

We love to feed to birds on the back deck. All sorts of birds feed throughout the day. Large, small, colorful, chirpy, we get them all. Sometimes the turkey will get hunger a fly up to feed. Unfortunately not all survive. Mr Kitty will wait patiently for a bird to make a bad move. Today was one of those days.

The good news is that no pesticide were used in the extermination.

There is no telling how many rodents, birds, or lizards this cat can catch. We can only track the remains of the kills. Mr Kitty had four known kills this week, this photo shows one of those kills.

The mouse appears to be head first in a hole in the deck, however this is not the case. Apparently, Mr. Kitty ate the top of the pest and left the rest for us to share with you.

I need help! What is this?

Mr. Kitty caught this thing this morning, Not sure what it is exactly. I thought it was a mouse from a distance, it's no mouse. Not any mouse I've ever seen. I am all for the safe and environmental safe extermination of pests, my cat does it all the time. I just wish I knew what it is.

The idea of pest control is subjective. What I consider a pest, and what you consider a pest, may not be the same. My cat has his own ideas.
The extermination of pests includes many different animal and insects. Rats, mice, squirrels, grasshoppers, spiders, lizards, even birds. The exterminator cat removes anything he can trap. Maybe he is exterminating pests before they become a real problem.

There has been signs of birds being caught and eliminated by our own exterminator. This extermination was evidenced by several piles of feathers in the lawn. No sign of a bird, but Mr. Kitty was seen licking his chops near the area.

The cold weather has slowed the killing of househlod pests. No signs of mice killing, squirrels harmed, or bat catching once the temperatures droppped. But the birds are still feeding from the feeders and becoming prey to the relentless cat. I don't consider birds as pests, but the exterminator cat believes in his own pest control standards. Here is a graphic elimination of flying pests.

The picture on top is the body of the pest bird, below is the head. The head was laid in front of the door for our approval, the body found 50 feet away. The cat is offering his services as pest control specialist at a reduced winter rate. All work is guaranteed.

Seems that others have joined on the in-house extermination. Exterminator are cheap, you just need to know where to look. Local companies do a good job, but some homeowners need to clean up the rodent and pest problems - NOW! I've included a special guess caught on video after the catch but during the feast. Cat are thorough, quiet and very efficient. It's the best deal in town.

My wife came in the house one night saying, "I think he caught another mouse , get your camera." We have lived in the Placerville, Cameron Park, Rescue area and never needed an exterminator, pest control, for rodent problem. The rodent population is falling here in Placerville. Mr. Kitty brought another mouse to the door, maybe the cat has some anger issues that need to be talked about with a professional. A professional like an exterminator! Maybe the professionals could learn the proper techniques from Mr. Kitty. Mice, birds, lizards, he's not too picky about what to catch. If it moves he's interested.

What did the bird do to deserve this? I don't know. Perhaps he wasn't aware of his surroundings. Maybe he had too much bird seed and got fat and slow. Or how about the fermented fruit intoxication. I'm not sure. Let's just leave this one to Darwin - get fit or die!

Mr. Kitty got busy with his kill count today, he bagged two beauties. I'm not much on the killing of animals, I'm just the clean up guy. I wonder if I could hire someone to clean the dead animals?These animals have been placed for my approval from my feline friend. Maybe the Greenpeace organization will need to step in and bring peace and tranquility to our home. Surely, rodent rights are being violated. Here is the first catch of the day. Seems the mouse's head is nearly removed.

As a bonus, Mr. Kitty kicked in a lizard for laughs and giggles today.

The killing of innocent animals has spread the the feathered variety. Not to be limited to the rodent family, Mr. Kitty has branched out into the sky. Not sure how he caught the dawn thing, but it appear on the back door mat. I'm told that cats leave the kill at your door step to show their appreciation. And I appreciate that!

Didn't that long to get another mouse. I came across this mouse in the garage, I don't know if it were caught in the garage or brought to us from outside.

Poor guy seems to have been tortured by Mr. Kitty for a while. How's that for change?

Mouse Killer

It all started when I found a dead mouse in the garage. I've seen dead mice before, even in my garage. The difference was that the mouse had blood on it as if it were attacked by another animal. Not mauled, just wounded to death. I threw it away and went about my day. A few days later, I found another at the back door. My first thought was, "We have a mouse problem." Next came, "What's killing these things?"

Shortly before these findings we had gotten a cat that seemed rather passive. A lap cat, the purring "come pet me" kind, you know the type. Darn cat is a hunter. A hunter who hunts regularly. I like that in a cat. Our cat, let's call him Mr. Kitty, has been catching mice and leaving them at our door steps. I missed several of the early ones but the Kill Count is about 18 as of today. I plan on photographing and posting my findings. This should be fun.
